Right now, I am 10 days into a Europe work trip which has long days and lots of countries on the itinerary.
That is a challenge when it comes to personal wellness, fitness, and nutrition.
I've developed a set of routines and practices that help me balance all this work travel with my own wellness, and when Sunday rolls around, I get ready for my week no matter where I am.
This includes:
🌿 Food prep for the week: Protein and Hydration to keep in my work bag and quick meals for my Airbnb that can be made day or night. I am a plant-forward eater who strives for 120+ grams of protein per day (so I always need a plan!)
🧦 Workout plan for the week: I have a travel yoga mat/yoga app, a runners back-pack/shoes, and rain gear, so I can work out indoors or out/ anytime/anywhere.
Today, I woke up in London and logged 6 miles on the deserted streets and through Hyde Park before a full day of work. Bonus for the angry geese who chased me across the park (fastest mile of the day 😂).
It's never easy to find ways to make healthy food and workouts happen on the road - or at home - for any of us. But the good vibes, endorphins, and balance are always worth the investment!
