Not a boardroom or a breakout session.

Montana. Mountains. And a leadership team that was burned out.

Their CEO called me and said: “We need something different. My team is disconnected—from the mission, from each other. We can’t just do another executive off-site.”

So, we didn’t plan a retreat. We designed a reset.

No endless PowerPoint slides. No beige hotel carpet in a windowless conference room. No team dinners and token team bonding event.

Instead, we crafted a 3-day experience built around one powerful idea:

Leaders think differently when their nervous systems are rewired by new experiences, movement, challenge, and joy.

Here’s what that looked like:

• First-ever Mountain summits for most of them (a struggle, but also a sense of accomplishment)

• A high ropes challenge that required absolute trust and problem solving

• River hot springs to decompress and reflect (feels great after a summit)

• Goat yoga—because laughter is bonding

• A horseback ride to a sunset campfire dinner

• Remote cabins with no distractions

• Deep-dive strategic sessions—no fluff, just real talk and real plans designed to execute

By the time we hugged goodbye at the airport this morning, they weren’t just recharged—they were realigned.

They had new energy, new trust, and a crystal-clear roadmap for what happens next.

Sometimes what your leadership team needs isn’t another meeting.

It’s a meaningful experience that reconnects them to why they started—and what they’re building together.
