The Importance of Giving Back

No matter where you are in the world, it can be tough to be a young person right now. The pressures, uncertainty, and complexity are creating big challenges for so many. That’s why corporate investment, focused on young people, has never been more important.

We have many clients that give back to their communities in substantial ways, and I want to recognize one of them for their significant investment in backing an organization that gives struggling kids a fighting chance at turning their lives around: Watches of Switzerland Group PLC & The King's Trust.

While I was in London, I had the opportunity to attend The Kings Trust Leadership Gala alongside the leaders and colleagues from The Watches of Switzerland Group. Their CEO, Brian Duffy, chaired the event, highlighting the urgent need for more support for kids and the ongoing investments that make real impact in each young life. But what really impressed me wasn’t just this night, but that this event was the culmination of ongoing work by all the colleagues and team mates at The Watches of Switzerland Group. They ALL invest in working in their communities and supporting this organization.

It’s not just a “corporate” thing. It’s an everyday thing for colleagues in their local neighborhoods.

If you follow them on this platform, you know exactly what I mean. The alignment from the top-down, bottom-up is what I admire about their people and their investment.

So kudos to all companies, big and small, who, like The Watches of Switzerland Group, think not only of their customer and employee experience, but also the broader community in which they serve.
